UNISA NEW RESEARCH BUILDING, MAGILL CAMPUS, SA

The proposed new single storey building for UniSA Social Research Faculty is located on the bank of Third Creek in Magill. The building provides offices, workstations and meeting spaces. The university required a 5 star Greenstar building in line with their ecological mandate. Some of the strategies implemented to achieve this included: light troughs bringing daylight to the centre of the building; planted and coloured shade fins to the facade; a “living wall” to the toplit central atrium and rainwater storage and re-use.
