ST COLUMBA COLLEGE SCIENCE CLASSROOMS, ANDREWS FARM, SA

Phillips/Pilkington Architects were engaged by St Columba College as part of the Governments Building The Education Revolution Program to design a new Science Classroom and Technology Suite. The building comprises 2 teaching laboratories that are cleverly linked to a student breakout space, which enables progressive teaching techniques and optimises flexibility for students of various ages and classroom sizes.
The design maximises the use of internal glass to provide natural light and transparency to the classrooms. Externally the building further reinforces the palette of materials developed in the Middle School Master Plan and provides the College with a wonderful new facility that compliments its progressive approach to teaching and learning.
