  Marion Cultural Centre,
1998 - 2000

In association with Melbourne architects Ashton Raggatt McDougall, Phillips/Pilkington Architects designed a major new cultural landmark building in Marion which incorporates a new central library and information centre, art gallery and workshop space, multi-purpose performance hall, cafe and plaza. The innovative design has proved to be very popular with Marion’s young people and has contributed to substantial increases in library patronage. The project was construction managed with a value management exercise utilised to achieve the project budget.

This project won an Award of Merit from the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (SA chapter) and an Award of Merit from the Design Institute of Australian (SA chapter)
